Report cards

For more than a decade, the Office has issued report cards showing how well federal institutions have met their responsibilities under the ATIA. The report cards reveal their overall performance, in contrast to the results of specific investigations. In 2008–2009, the report card process was updated in several ways.

  • Assessments were based on the fiscal year;
  • Institutions were selected for review based on specific criteria; and
  • The evaluations were designed to put the information in the context of the institution's circumstances.
