Long-gun Registry – stay of the application for judicial review in Federal Court

The Federal Court ordered a stay in the application for judicial review in Information Commissioner of Canada v Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness (T-785-15) until a decision is rendered by the Ontario Divisional Court in the case of Information Commissioner of Canada and Bill Clennett v Attorney General of Canada in which the Commissioner challenged the constitutionality of the Ending the Long-gun Registry Act as amended by Bill C-59.
